Windy day!

Today's workout:
Bike-219 minutes-55 miles
Run-15-20 minutes

The swim is optional on Saturdays so we opted out today because we have the 3M Half Marathon tomorrow morning. We headed out to do the same route as last week because we had a special request from the Chicago clan. We did it reverse this week though. Here's the map.






We went slower this week-because of the race tomorrow and also because of the wind. The weatherman was dead on today and the wind picked up almost exactly on cue. Thank goodness Brad was along today to pull us for a lot of the way! Thanks Brad! Bonnie and Todd took off to do their own pace-one of their only rides outside this winter so far-I think they loved the weather! It was in the 70s when we finished the ride. The run was fine afterwards. The pups enjoyed it!

The ice bath is one of the best things I have done since I started running years ago. I found myself actually looking forward to the ice bath during the ride. The ice bath is so incredibly restorative. I can tell a difference in my leg muscles even while I'm sitting in the water, and afterwards and the next day it only gets better. I bought a bag of ice at the store for tomorrow's ice bath after the race and the weights.

Ok, time to check exactly how much it's going to rain during the race tomorrow.
