I could really go for a massage about now.

Today's workout:

Run-not sure how many minutes, but it was about 4 miles or so.
Weights-2 x 15

My back was really, really sore today. I had trouble sitting in my chair at work, so I closed the blinds and did some yoga moves in my office. Then I borrowed a heating pad from the nurse and used it on my back for about 45 minutes. That helped. The run made it feel much better. No pain at all on the run. The weights were ok, except I dropped down on the weight of the lat pulldown, because those were the exact muscles that were hurting me. Now that I'm not moving,  its starting to hurt again. I'll probably take a couple aleve before bed.

Besides the back pain, I actually felt really good today, considering it's Thursday. Last night I felt sluggish on the swim, but tonight I felt good. It was a chilly run-36 degrees. I liked the temp tonight even though it was cold. Not on a regular basis of course, but knowing that today is the last day of 30s for a while, I could deal with it.

The run was a warm-up, 5 fartleks with 3 minutes easy jogging in between, and a cool-down. Definitely a back week-it was a pretty easy run. The weights are still good-not sure when we bump up to three sets. Not looking forward to that really.

Cheyenne and Caribia's application for Austin's Fittest Dogs was submitted two days ago. Keep your fingers and paws crossed! We should find out in February I think. The contest deadline is the 25th of January.

Time for bed.
