Today's workout:
Bike-71 minutes on the trainer
Run-18 minutes
Brrrr. It was in the 30s-40s for the workout tonight. At least the trainers were set up under the carport so we were protected from the wind. I don't know how Kristi made it through the workout today...I think she coughed up both her lungs. An upper respiratory infection sure messes with a person when your heart rate gets going! She certainly wins the trooper award today!
We did the smallest amounts of each set this week since it's a back week and the workout was still 71 minutes! It would have added an extra 20+ minutes if we did the top amount of each set. I didn't like the workout as much tonight because there was a lot of fast spinning in low gears, which is not my strength. But I know that it's all good training and the workout went by pretty quickly so I can't complain too much! The run was freezing tonight! With the wind chill it had to be in the low 30s. Our toes froze-they were numb within a few minutes of starting the run! The pups came along as usual and they were so excited with the cold weather that they ran crazy fast! We were running a 7:20 pace around the Central Market trail!
I finally finished my bag of cookie dough-it's the Pillsbury dough that you're supposed to add water and egg to. I like to eat it dry-without the water and egg. It's pretty much just straight sugar. If I eat just the right amount I feel great. If I eat more than just the right amount, I feel totally sick. And I over did it tonight...ugh. I still need to eat something healthy for dinner before bed so I don't wake up with the midnight munchies again. (and to off-set my sugar coma...) I also thought I'd start to keep some almonds by the bed-I think they would be a good midnight snack. Better than mint milanos anyway! Needless to say, I need to start paying better attention to what I'm eating.
Here's the photo as promised from the bar that Bonnie visited last night in Manhattan!
She talked about having a nice snowy run in Central Park this week. At least we don't have snow! Hope she's staying warm!
Ok, time to find something good to eat before bed.
Later gators!
Mary :)
