Today's workout:
Bike-70 minutes on the trainer
Run-38 minutes
After a self-diagnosis using the internet, I decided I have a particular allergy to hickory. And apparently pecan trees are in the hickory family. And our yard has a lot of pecan trees. The long green/yellow pollen that falls off the trees started falling on Friday. That would explain my yucky day on Saturday and my non-stop snot, sore throat, itchy eyes, cough, and congestion for the past few days. Today was no exception. After running errands this morning I couldn't even sit on the back deck. It was just too polleny. So I sat on the couch and ended up taking a short little nap.
There is no way I would have done the workout tonight if not for the crew. It would be impossible to do this training solo. So I set up my bike with a box of tissues on the aerobars and my eyedrops tucked in the tissue box. I had a little bag strung over the handlebars for the garbage tissues. It was a harder than normal trainer workout because the allergies get my asthma pretty bad too. But I managed ok. Tonight Bonnie took home her trainer because we realized that we only have one more trainer workout, and she's going to be out of town next week! This training is really wrapping up!!!!!
The run was so much better tonight than on Saturday. Even though I couldn't breath very well. The weather was amazing tonight! It was in the low 80s for the run which felt like such a gift since the last few weeks have been in the 90s. Cheyenne and Caribia were able to come along tonight and I always love running with them. They just make running so much more fun and enjoyable.
And now it's time for some yummy dinner that Chris is preparing.
M :)
