Run 10.5 miles
Today was not our normal Sunday routine. Kristi and Wayne were running a 5K with Wayne's company. Bonnie was kind enough to get up extra early so we could run at 7 am. Two hours earlier than normal. That was so that I could make my 11 am boat trip. We all decided we would opt out of the ride today. Certain parts of my body were very, very happy about that decision.
It was really nice to run at 7. The trail was empty. It was a busy day at Town Lake. Boat races, a 2K open water swim, the Bun Run....but we were out early enough to have the trail to ourselves for the first eight miles. We met up with Kristi and Wayne before their race started to say hello. When the race started we cut across the lake on a different bridge from them and waited for them. We jumped into the race with them for about a mile or so and then peeled off to go back to where we parked. It was a nice switch up from the normal routine.
It was crazy humid when we started. The humidity broke a little, but was still pretty bad during the race part of our run. But that's Austin for ya!
We were done with our workout by nine in the morning! What a treat! I went home and got ready for the boat trip. What a great afternoon for a boat ride. Partly cloudy, not too busy on the lake, lunch at Ski Shores, nice company....here are some photos from today.
Here's me and Diana.

Me feeling right at home!
Lunch at Ski Shores. A burger joint, but I found a salad on the menu.
What a nice relaxing day. Now I'm beat. Ready for bed. But I don't want to go to bed just yet because I won't sleep through the whole night if I do! My allergies are really bad today. There's some long yellow/green polleny things falling from the trees now. I seem to be really allergic to those. I keep sneezing and I'm really stuffy.
Well that's about it for now. We might get some rain tonight. That would be exciting. Our grass would be happy. The temperature is already dropping!
M :)
