There's a fungus among us!

Today's workout:
Bike-65 minutes on the trainer
Run-18 minutes or so

I went to see the podiatrist this morning. He clipped the extra part of the nail that was still attached and looked at the other black toes. Diagnosis-Fungal infection. Lovely. Three months of a crazy powerful antibiotic that might ruin my liver. Weekly blood draws to make sure my liver is still functioning.

And then he scraped the bottom of my foot where there was a blocked sweat gland which had formed a nice bump which was mildly annoying. Yea, as Chris said, I am pretty disgusting.

And to top it all off, I think I have a cavity. It started to hurt yesterday during the swim, each time I went under, my tooth hurt. I think because of the difference in pressure maybe? And it hurt again on the run tonight. I'm going to call the dentist tomorrow to see if I can get in this week or on Monday. It would be nice to not have pain in my tooth in addition to the rest of my body on race day.

I am falling apart!

But other than falling apart, I'm feeling pretty good. I feel like I have energy, and I'm not particularly sore at all. In fact, I'm starting to wonder if my body will really be able to pull off the distances after what seems like a couple back weeks! But I know it will. I know I have trained to the best of my ability. Now I just have to relax and get my head in the game.

Ten more days. Wow.

M :)
