Swim-87 minutes-2.4 miles
Bike-14 miles
I had a good swim today. Relatively. I felt good physically, and I even finished three minutes earlier than normal. But ugh, I just don't like swimming at all. I didn't enjoy it at all. I kept trying to think of something that I liked about swimming. The only thing I came up with was injury prevention. I was telling Wayne how much I hate swimming and he said he feels the same way about running. I'm glad I love running-it's what I think about and look forward to while I'm swimming!
On my last few laps every time I would come up for a breath, it sounded as if there was an argument going on in the pool area. I looked around and didn't see any disturbances, so I kept swimming. When I finished, I saw that there were two people talking in the hot tub. The guy was sooooo loud, his voice was ricocheting off the really bad acoustic walls in the pool area and hurting my ears! The girl he was talking to was speaking in a normal voice, but for some reason he was yelling his conversation. It must have been how I was talking on Saturday's bike ride when it was really windy. Kristi said I was yelling my conversation to her and Bonnie because I couldn't hear anything. Hahahahaha!
The ride was nice and chill tonight. I took it extra slow tonight just to spin out my legs. It was a beautiful night out tonight. In the low 90s and sunny. Kind of windy, but nothing like last Saturday! While we were riding I realized we only have two more Wednesday night rides! I can't believe how fast time is flying by.
I'm excited today because the Athlete's Guide came out! I'm going to print it up and memorize it. Heehee!
Let's see, I think it's time for another motivational quote. Let me see what I can find.....
The vision of a champion is someone
who is bent over, drenched in sweat,
at the point of exhaustion when no one else is watching.
-Anson Dorrance
I like that one.
G'night!
