Today's workout:
Run-7 mile loop
Weights-2 x 12 chisel
I guess technically it's a "recovery" week because it's the third week now. And every other third week has been a back week. It's just the long 90 mile ride this weekend that puts a damper on the "recovery" part of the week. Tonight was a relatively easy workout, compared to some. We warmed up, did accelerations, then ran 35 minutes in HR2-3. Then a cool down. It felt fine, but I'm just so tired. My muscles are tired, my brain is tired, my eyes are tired. I saw myself in the mirror and felt like I looked eighty years old. I'm so tired that I have bags under my eyes and I look a sickly color.
The weights were totally fine though. It is great to be doing less weights, for fewer reps. Wayne spent the workout jamming to 90s rock on his air instruments.
After weights Chris and I ate at Jason's Deli. Yum. Complete with chocolate soft serve, unlike Texas Dairy Queens. Then we went to HEB to get bagels and almond butter for the weekend ride and some milk to hold us over until Sunday. Once home, I took out the garbage, moved the recycling to the front, took the recycling from the side of the house to the front, unpacked the groceries, picked out my outfit for tomorrow, took a shower, and am just now sitting down to blog. Thursdays are pretty late nights.
I ate really well today. Cereal, muffin, cookies, tangerines, the lunch special from Mr. Natural, mini-muffins from Mr. N, a powerbar, half a spinach wrap, some chips, a fruit cup and an ice cream cone. Lots and lots of veggies today! The lunch special is all veggies and tofu. Really yummy stuff.
Tomorrow will probably be a shorter walk with the dogs-it's supposed to be in the 90s and sunny. That'll give me a little more rest time tomorrow night before the long Saturday workout.
Ok, it's definitely time for bed. Here I come Mr. Sandman!
M :)
