A great workout today! The swim felt really good. I did the whole distance in 89 minutes. I kept a slow steady pace. The first 10-20 laps are always a little awkward-getting my stroke and breath organized. But after that I feel like I can go forever. I felt good afterwards, not dizzy or hungry, or tired. I'm glad I didn't make up the Monday swim-I bet that would have made this swim worse.
I ate a lot today. A lot of healthy stuff, until dinner! I wasn't hungry at all, but Chris wanted Changos so I got some queso and corn torts. Yummy! Once I started eating I was starving again! I wonder if the training is suppressing my appetite somehow. And then once I start to eat I get hungry again!
Nice bike ride tonight-pretty chilly though-long pants and long sleeved shirt. The Far West rest stop is finally open again! It's been our regular stop for the past couple of years, but about four months ago they closed it for complete renovations. It opened again last night at 6pm and it was packed tonight! It's sooo nice in there! I think I christened the toilet.
It's without a doubt the nicest and cleanest restroom I've ever seen on a bike ride! I also like the way it was designed, with the Texas star in the border tile. When I was looking around the store I asked the worker man when the store had re-opened and he said the night before. Then he told me not to scratch up their new floors with my bike shoes! Hahahaha! He was kidding around. To some extent at least!
I'm looking forward to more stops at this nice convenience shop!
Not much else to report-except that the queso is starting to take revenge already....ugh....
